"Scoot To Thrill - 2011" is a 4-part feature highlighting Paxton Swygard's freestyle scootering in 2011. We will be releasing one of the four parts each Friday for four weeks. When the last part of the video is released, we'll also publish a full feature version that is not chopped into 4 parts. The clips in this video were compiled from all of our filming last year with the exception of some clips that were used in other videos that we chose to exclude. The editing process for something like this is long and arduous, but well worth the effort once you complete it.

Watch for parts 3 and 4 in the next 2 weeks as they will be released after midnight on Friday morning (Thursday night). Thank you for your time in watching our videos. We hope you enjoy them and that they inspire you to go ride and do something creative! :)

What NOT to Do in Scooter Videos

What NOT to Do in Scooter Videos

Stand out in the crowd by not copying everyone else. Be original. Be yourself. Follow your own creative ideas.

Lamborghini makes pretty amazing cars. But what makes them so cool is that they are different and unique compared to the cars that Ford, Chevy, Honda, and Toyota make. If every car manufacturer made cars that looked exactly like those made by Lamborghini, they wouldn't be rare, interesting, or cool. The same thing applies to scooter videos. If you want to stand out from the crowd, you have to do something different than everyone else is doing.

You can create a unique perspective through your videos by trying to be completely original, but that can sometimes be hard to do. Another way to help promote original ideas is to try to avoid cliché and common techniques that you see in many other scooter videos. That's not to say that these often-used techniques are bad ideas, but you might want to try avoiding them if you want your videos to be creative and unique.

Use creative angles and filming techniques to stand out in the crowd.

Has your scooter kid been hounding you to make videos for him yet? If not, it's coming, so be prepared. Videos are a big part of the freestyle scooter culture and if your kid sticks with the sport, he's going to want to start making videos.

Until your scooter kid can throw double back flips with Dakota Schuetz and 1080s with Tyler Bonner, he's going to need a way to stand out in videos, so why not help him out with some creative filmmaking? This article and the accompanying video will outline some examples of how to use creative camera angles to make more interesting videos.
